Why Can't Michael Schmidt Get The Facts Right?

Am watching yesterday's Nicole Wallace show and he said traitor trump's competitor in '16 was the one who hired Steels through GPS Fusion. Now HRC was always blamed for the initial hire but it was Cons who brought them into the campaign and, if I remember correctly it was done to benefit Jeb.

The last time he was on her show he said McGahn wouldn't testify because his law firm Jones Day works for him/RNC. Now I remember in April that to punish McGahn they hired in house lawyers (one of which is Scott Walker) to do their work.

added a slant that was incorrect. HRC's team, did not originate the Steele inquiry and only picked up the hire on Steele after the Cons who originally hired him realized that Jeb wasn't going to make it and gave the quest up. Also Jones Day had already been replaced by Walker and another attorney in April so whatever the reason for defying a subpoena, it wasn't that. And later on in the show Jeremy Bash said sorry but I have to correct Michael on a particular point and said Barr had no reason whatsoever to discover the identity of undercover agents,

The Fusion contract switched from the R's to the DNC in the spring, when Trump had the votes to become their nominee. Steele was hired in June.

Schmidt was right. The DNC was already working with Fusion when Fusion first hired Steele.

The DNC hired Fusion in the spring after the R's got behind Trump. However, Steele hadn't been hired yet while Fusion was working with the R's, so it's not true that the D's "only picked up the hire on Steele" after the R's gave up. Fusion hired Steele AFTER the DNC hired Fusion.

he didn't say '16, I got that date wrong. What he was not correct on was that The Cons were the first ones to hire GPS for the sake of Jeb. Sorry, I'm noy sure that is correct tha Fusion only hired Steele after the DNC took over the contract, regardless of the Wapo Headline.

Edit....You are correct that Steele was hired after, though the Washington Beacon started the entire ball rolling with the hire of GPS which is not the impression Schmidt left. And this may be only me, but I feel that like Kelly O., he has a tendency to slant right.
