.@PressSec: "It's very hard to have a meeting where you accuse the President of the United States of a crime and an hour show up and act as if nothing has happened. The idea of that is insane I think to any normal person."

(72,018 posts)Multiple officials said they don't know exactly why.
But wouldn't it be fun if there's a secret box of Trumpism signs, waiting for the right Rose Garden moment?

(4,170 posts)I read those figures in an article, but since -45 said it I didn't believe it.
The whole thing was a set up and a waste of time and resources.

(32,767 posts)It wasn't necessarily made at a print shop, but it still took forethought and planning.
And what does this statement mean: "18 angry Democrats"?
csziggy
(34,137 posts)When my husband worked at FedEx he could make huge banners overnight.
The "18 angry Democrats" is a debunked claim that the Mueller team included 18 Democratic investigators/prosecutors who were angry at Trump. So, another lie.
The $35 million claim is also bogus - Mueller's agreement with Manafort garnered over $45 million so the investigation brought in MORE than it cost.

(32,767 posts)... they do amazing stuff there on very short notice. Also I'm retired from a career in the printing industry so maybe I'm a little more "print savvy" than some people. I realize this poster is entirely BS. People tend to think "well it must be true if it got printed on a sign." No eff-ing way!
The original point of bringing this up was that Chump had planned all along to have his little tantrum and storm out of the meeting with Pelosi and Schumer. The sign was made up in advance.

(34,137 posts)MSNBC showed footage while waiting for them to get to the WH.
I did not watch Dolt45's snit fit - I just cannot have him on my TV if it is at all possible for me to mute and/or change the channel. These days I watch a lot of streaming TV (old mysteries and science fiction shows) to avoid the news.
My husband was hired at Kinko's and lived through the acquisition by FedEx, the days of "FedEX - Kinko's" then segue to "FedEx Office." For years he worked overnight when they did most of their production printing. Unfortunately by the time he retired, they had reduced their in house printing. They fired/laid off/moved to other work all the people who knew how to do design and layout - that is now sent to India. Many of their large volume print jobs are also done in India. SO no more going in, getting help with the layout, coming back in four hours to a finished job. Now the customer has to do their own designs online, place the order, and wait until it is shipped halfway around the world.
At the end my husband was mostly doing shipping and packing, which was much less satisfying. When he decided to retire, it was just in time - every local manager was led out the backs of the stores and never seen again by the employees. My husband had given one month's notice, but they never turned it in. He - as a favor to the managers - continued to work part time at a one person store front, which meant he was not eligible for benefits. They never notified HR, the insurance was still withdrawn from his pay check. We had signed up for ACA insurance so he was almost charged with fraud! He walked out the day the managers were fired and never went back as an employee. It took three months to get the insurance payments refunded.

(2,395 posts)Those indicted include his personal attorney, campaign chair and deputy chair, national security advisor, and his bestie, stone. And of course the investigation made money because of Manafort's forfeitures.
What did republicans get out of the Benghazi investigation? Engraved wine glasses. How much did they spend on their 50 plus votes to repeal the ACA? 75 million? They don't care about wasting time or taxpayers money.

(58,785 posts)incompetent scenario Trump was attempting, she had a fleeting, "oh, poor baby" feeling. I've come to loathe Trump, not just despise, but I know that fleeting feeling also. Like when he's been particularly clueless and incompetent and really doesn't understand why people are laughing and rolling their eyes at him. Of course, the prospect of narcissistic rage in a president puts a stop to that virtually before it starts.

(82,849 posts)Another tell that shows the whole temper tantrum was staged, along with Kellyanne Conway asking Speaker Pelosi what Pelosi thought of Lord Littlehands' "performance."
