Audience Member Calls 911 After Muslim-American Comedian Tells a Joke at Comedy Show

Ahmed Ahmed did a comedy show at ‘Off The Hook Comedy Club’ in Naples, Florida, on May 12. He apparently made a joke about the number of Middle Eastern people in the audience, and a member of the audience called 911.

The person who called told the cops that there were roughly “25 Muslims” in attendance.
The comedian, Ahmed, allegedly joked to the caller:
“We could organize our own terrorist organization.”

At a comedy show, this was, no doubt, a joke. However, there are people out there who believe that being a Muslim is the equivalent of being a terrorist. However, like many would be, Ahmed Ahmed was aghast that the authorities were called on him. He said of the incident:

“I don’t know if it’s fear, racism, ignorance, or Islamophobia, or whatever you want to call it. It’s unfortunate that somebody was very adamant about making a point to make a 911 call.”

The 911 called said that Ahmed’s jokes made him uncomfortable, though not giving a reason.

The cops were even like “WTF”?
