That is the great irony I have witnessed over the past 40 years. It has made me angry and sad. Rich people, corporations, rich politicians from around the world all crawled into bed together. They created a union. In order for it to work they had to convince the workers of the world their unions were evil. It worked, they won.

Its done by distracting them with social issues, since many Americans vote their values, even when it kills them (and many others) financially. Propaganda works. We never hear about the incredible irony of the head of the government, Ronald Reagan, frequently preaching that government was the problem. Americans missed the joke and its one of the reasons weve been paying a high price ever since.

(3,647 posts)On that basis I think business people like unions a lot but just want to prevent workers from having the same. They oppose having a level playing field.

Everything is premeditated, on purpose, and the joke is on us.
They laugh all the way to the offshore tax shelter and money-laundering banks.
