Start singing to them. They dared me and I sang part of “ get up stand up” to them. To my astonishment they sang part of the song with me and a couple of kids said, “that’s a Bob Markey song”. One of the kids was named Marley and he winked at me !

To this day I can play my Bob Marley Cd and end of listening to the whole thing. Great music for long car trips!

This is my favorite B M song. Even Stevie (Wonder) covered it.

So beautiful. It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it.

A great performer, a great songwriter, who put reggae on the world map, with many classic songs still played every where.

Is this love?

He impacted the scene to the point that even Led Zeppelin even dabbled in the style.
And absent Bob, The Police would not likely have had the enormous success they had!

very late - after Time named Exodus album of the century.

The Marley cognoscenti have always disagreed with the choice - Survival is our favorite album but our hypocrites always seek validation from outside.
