What can Dems do? They cant do anything to hold him to account now. If he wins he probably takes back the House and keeps the Senate. Country over.
What will I do? I really dont know.

Haven't had a full time job since Chimpy was in office.
Never had investments or a retirement package, so can't speak to that.

So, what will WE do? Muddle through.

(22,449 posts)activists outside my comfort zone, thinking about radical solutions to long-term problems and talking with people who have direct experience with those problems, reading up on the history of racial oppression in the United States, thinking a lot about what I'm willing to do and what my skills and resources are, donating cash money directly to people and small organizations, etc.

(22,449 posts)I spent a lot of the Bush years in anger and despair but didn't harness it at all except into party politics, and I burned out and stagnated at the same time. It's all about finding the best outlet for your work.
