Pelosi did not say Democrats need to be more centrist

In this article, Pelosi did not say that the Democratic party needed to be more "centrist." She said they need to "own the center left." We SHOULDN'T be, as so many ARE in fact 'centrist,' and we cannot afford to throw THEM under the bus.

But unfortunately we have a representative democracy so in order to change the philosophy you either have to convince others that it is a good one.
