I'm already thinking that the mature, calm, measured, truthful, well thought out answers that will come from Bob Mueller will be a massive contrast to the childish, churlish, defensive, dishonest and evasive behavior exhibited by Barr.
If he can answer a question, he will actually answer the question, and not deflect. And people all through the administration will be sweating.
I hope some talented tech person will be putting together a whole lot of 'side by side' video clips.

(7,142 posts)that Democrats may be disappointed in Mueller's testimony because he is so by the book. He will not speculate, jump to conclusions, or make bold statements.
First things first, Trump is fighting like hell to keep Mueller from testifying. If Mueller testifies in public it's a game changer. If Mueller never gets to testify, it's a game changer.

(26,289 posts)When they wrote the special prosecutor policies/procedures, they also included some safeguards, to protect against a rogue type POTUS blocking testimony, once an investigation is ended.
When you think about it, what would be the point of spending all this time and money, just to have the subject of the investigation also have total control over who can see the information gathered?
I'll be disappointed if Mueller only testifies behind closed doors. There's no reason why it can't be handled the same way the did Michael Cohen's testimony.
I also wonder if Mueller isn't pretty 'worked up' by how he is being denigrated by the GOP, right now. No doubt he will be 'by the book' in how he says what he says but I also have a gut feeling he wants the truth to be known.

(9,897 posts)He is going to be silenced because dictators do not allow dissent and certainly not publicly aired dissent. We have passed "Constitutional Crisis" and gone straight to rouge government with no one doing ANYTHING to stop it. There should be mass protests, general strikes, sit ins in the Capitol, marches to defend our system and absolute chaos in DC as the Democrats should close the purse to any and all GOP priorities and shut down everything they can.
The Legislative Branch is neutered.
The Judicial Branch has been usurped and packed with cons.
The Executive is a dictator in waiting.
In general terms, we're the ones who are fucked...
