what people DO, not what they say." She was cautioning us that the occasional "reasonable-sounding" noises coming from the White House and the Republicans in Congress are meaningless because they are at odds with the actions they undertake. They "talk the talk" but don't "walk the walk".
If we do not fully and forcefully employ the constitutionally authorized power we now have by virtue of our control of the House, the above criticism will be applied to us, the Democrats. It appears that our leaders are intent on opposing Trump's authoritarian pronouncements in every way possible. They are talking the talk.
We are, hopefully, about to see them walk the walk.

(7,142 posts)may not be enough. Trump and Barr by ignoring subpoenas aren't planning on winning, they are planning on stalling everything in the courts until after the election.
Democrats may need to think outside the box. They control the purse strings. Start cutting off funds where it hurts Trump and his treasonous Republicans.

(15,124 posts)perhaps The Esteemed Mr. Trump would like to practice his golf on the WH lawn rather than flying to Florida. Start cutting off his luxury travel and perhaps he will pay attention.
