Robert De Niro Calls Trump Unrepentant, Lying Scumbag
Actor scalded president at second annual Not the White House Correspondents Dinner
By Ilana Kaplan
Robert De Niro made an appearance at the Not the White House Correspondents Dinner in Washington D.C. Friday night, roasting Donald Trump by calling him an unrepentant, lying scumbag.
The actor, a vocal critic of the president who has appeared as Robert Mueller on Saturday Night Live, also said he was in anticipation of the exquisite release of voting the president out of office in 2020.
In his speech, De Niro addressed the idea of fake news saying how much he loved it. If I get a bad review, fake news. Some nosy reporter finds out I never finished high school, fake news. Then the president stole my phrase. You might say he moved in on it like a bitch. All that, fake news. Turns out its real news or as we in this room call it: news, he told the audience.
Bees event aired on TBS Saturday night, during the actual White House Correspondents Association gala. Since Michelle Wolfs scathing speech at the 2018 White House Correspondents Dinner, the official event has gone comedy-free. Even so, Trump declined an invitation to attend the annual dinner for the third year in a row also asking that administration officials boycott the event.
All proceeds from Not the White House Correspondents Dinner are given to the Committee to Protect Journalists.

Which says a lot about the people who still support him: they admire Mafia dons.

(53,410 posts)And so predictable by now that you know he ran out of original material at least a year ago. The only thing that still shocks us is his unlimited depravity and cruelty against children.

(21,664 posts)And big business' as well. They want Elysium for themselves, and Lord of the Flies for the rest of us - and they see Cheeto as their best shot of making it come true (they almost succeeded under Dubya).

(7,464 posts)It has nothing to do with abortion or really even people from Mexico. It's them saying "FUCK YOU AND YOUR LAWS, LIBS".
Him and his "supporters" are really nothing more than common criminals.

Which is also why I suspect Bitchy Mitchy and the other GOP bigwigs are plotting to "dispose" of Cheeto somehow (heart attack seems the most believable), and replacing him with Dense Pence - a "good boy."
Like a dog.

(5,106 posts)I think I even hate McConnell more than Trump. He's so blatantly partisan and proud of it. He's actually in a position to get away with more damage, and undoubtedly has a better diet.

(21,664 posts)Can you imagine if a top Democratic senator had a father-in-law with a rusty old freight ship (obviously not used to carry real freight) caught shipping cocaine to the Netherlands?
And that same senator owed most of his fortune to said father-in-law?
Faux News and hate radio would demand the senate be burned down to a crisp.

(5,106 posts)sees in Mitch. To risk being politically incorrect, she must be the real "Dragon Lady," Mitch is pretty close to evil and proud of it.

(21,664 posts)Bitchy Mitchy, as you may have heard, has long been rumored to be gay or at least bi. A member of Congress' 'velvet mafia', as it's often called.
How much truth there is to that, it's hard to say. But then, so much in Washington is.

(18,870 posts)De Niro has massive presence. I watched him on Colbert and he just radiates self confidence without even trying. He just says what he thinks with such authority. He is fearless.
Trump would get pulverized. Scumbag.

Somehow, some way, I'm gonna love Robert De Niro movies even more than I already did.
