Does anyone get the feeling...

...that Trump and those around him want him to be impeached so that asshole Pence can take up the reins, pardon him, and carry out their agenda? I'm sure that would please everyone in the Republican party. He just seems to be pushing that envelope so hard lately, as if he's DARING the Dems to impeach him.

Or maybe I'm just so worn out trying to figure out what sinister plot they've got going next I've become suspicious of everything. But that seems a precautious and wise approach with such thugs.

He can resign.
I think that is a possibility.
He has nothing to gain from a second term but more trouble.

in denial to think the humorless, charisma-free Pence would prevail in 2020, IMO.

Pence can't pardon state crimes. Barr can hamper state investigations/indictments into Trump. Pence, Barr, can do nothing to impede a state A.G. investigation or indictment of Trump.

Trump would never ever want to be impeached. He could cook up some scheme like his dad did with bone spurs to cite some medical condition that caused him to resign, but he is in too deep for even that to happen.
