Given how Donald Trump is behaving like a King, a Dictator who thinks he is above the Rule of Law, here is my latest letter to my Local Paper.
Donald Trump continues to Obstruct Justice
..
Now that the Mueller Report has been released in a redacted form, it does point out that Trump did indeed Obstruct Justice and puts Congress in the position to continue the investigations further.
Congress has the Constitutional duty to subpoena the very people Mueller spoke with, where Executive Privilege was waived. Once waived, Executive Privilege cannot be re-invoked. Donald Trump has no legal legs in which to stand on. Don McGahn, Jim Comey, Hope Hicks, Michael Flynn, and others who gave Robert Mueller testimony, Executive Privilege was waived.
Now Trump is threatening Congress with more Obstruction to prevent people from Congressional testimony, even to thinking the US Supreme Court will save him. For someone who says often "I have nothing to hide" , Trump is acting like he has EVERYTHING to hide, be it his taxes, business dealings, etc.
What we have here before us is a corrupt man who thinks he is a King, a Dictator who can abuse the Rule of Law set by the US Constitution he swore to uphold, yet violates on a daily basis. The laws set down by Congress, the statutes set down by the US Constitution, are blatantly clear. No one is above the rule of law. Not even Donald Trump!

My DU friends, we need to be writing letters to papers, contacting our Reps in the House and Senate to do the right thing and stand up to this corrupt man. We must vote out anyone who fails to heed us, for they work for US, not Donald Trump!
What say you?
Feel free to use my letter as an idea for your own. I thank Rachel Maddow for giving me the idea to write this one.

(33,643 posts)People do need to do more of this sort of thing, absolutely.
As for your letter, it's (no offense) in need of a few edits. I'll just point out the most obvious one
Again, no offense, and thank you for your civic engagement and being a great citizen, but it's always a good idea to grab someone to proofread if you're sending something to be published
