They refuse to show up, the House issues a contempt citation, the U.S. Attorney for DC refuses to do anything with it, and the new SCOTUS, by a 5-4 majority, sides with the White House, based on "unitary executive powers." Game over.

executive privilege does not apply as it has already been waived. There is precident fot these issues, which the white house will lose in court. In most of the cases when a contempt of congress was voted on, the records were eventually turned over. The problem is, that the citations expire at the end of every congress, so it would have to start all over again if they drag it out that long unless they can get the court to expedite these.

But I'm not so sure. If the case goes to one of Trump's crazy new judges, he could win. We are screwed and I am very afraid.

He will do all manner of things from closing the border to separating families again to massive deportations and arrests.
