McConnell: 'Time to move on' from Trump impeachment talk

https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/440068-mcconnell-time-to-move-on-from-trump-impeachment-talk

<snip>
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Monday hit back at calls from some Democrats to start impeachment proceedings against President Trump, saying it's "time to move on."

"Well, look, I think it's time to move on. This investigation was about collusion, there's no collusion, no charges brought against the president on anything else, and I think the American people have had quite enough of it," McConnell told reporters in Kentucky, according to NBC News.

McConnell is one of 14 GOP senators, some of whom were members of the House at the time, who in 1998 either voted to either impeach or convict then-President Clinton on obstruction charges.

We must start impeachment proceedings because the Mueller report is so serious.

politicians know.

McConnell is an actual traitor to the USA, I want him and the other traitors out and I am for impeachment, what I will NEVER do is BLAME the Democrats for anything at this point.

Many here seem more than willing to blame Democrats while republicans refuse to do anything.

11. If not voting on Merrick Garland was so outrageous, where was the anger?

Democrats were properly angered over Merrick Garland but they did not properly market that anger.

The public didn't even know anything was happening.

If we don't start impeachment proceedings fairly soon, the public will assume there is nothing in the Mueller report. The public is not going to read a 448 page report.

The longer the delay the longer it looks like a nothing burger to those that marginally care.
