But three genres of games will no longer be allowed, including gambling titles such as Mahjong and Poker, games that deal with the country’s imperial history, and games featuring corpses and blood—of any color. Simply changing the color of blood to green and calling it slime or sweat isn’t going to cut it anymore. These new rules come into play alongside existing regulations that ban pornography.

And btw, ghosts and undead are banned in chinese movies, because they are unscientific.

It was customary for successor dynasties to destroy almost everything about the previous dynasties. It's why chinese history is such a jumbled, confusing mess where it's hard to tell what's fact and what's fiction like the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
