Oligarchy is a FAR bigger present threat to our country now than socialist policies

We are much closer to an oligarchy than we are to socialism.

Every democrat being accused of socialism should begin talking about oligarchy - we are already ruled by the few, since money has outsized influence over our government.

Talk about oligarchy as a clear and present danger: Russia is run by oligarchs, not by democracy. Oligarchs keep their power and wealth by threatening or killing their opponents.

We are NOT in danger of turning into a socialist country. We ARE in danger of turning into an oligarchy. One could argue that we are already there.

Socialism and they want you to think they're defending capitalism. It's a lie: repubs are protecting an oligarch system like Trump's friend, Russia has. What's worse, a successful middle class is impossible in an oligarchy. The oligarchs buy the people's rights...etc.
