@kaitlancollins
Nobody disobeys my orders, President Trump tells me when I asked about the portrayal in the Mueller report that his staff often ignored his directives.

(3,252 posts)Trump is NOT an idiot (except for policy issues). He thinks WE are idiots. He is correct - about 37 percent of the public.

Otherwise...
"Except for policy issues" covers pretty much every single thing that we elect presidents to do.

(884 posts)Throw out everything else. Access Hollywood, mocking the disabled, "I love the poorly educated", calls for violence. All of it.
He told the entire world literally all we needed to know about him to know he shouldn't be president at the first debate, in response to a question about military officers refusing an unlawful order to target the family members of terrorism suspects.
"They won't refuse my orders, because I'm a strong leader."
Right there, he told the entire world of his dictatorial inclinations.
And what makes me the most fearful for the future of indeed our entire planet is that 60 million Americans voted for him anyway, very clearly failing the "don't elect a guy who warns you that he wants to be a dictator" test.
Whether he's impeached, turfed out of office next year, or manages to slither through until 2024, we are still going to have to grapple with the fact that 60 million Americans failed that extremely crucial test, and an alarming number of them will never even grasp what a terrible mistake it was, let alone take any accountability for it.
