Romney wrote. Even so, I am sickened at the extent and pervasiveness of dishonesty and misdirection by individuals in the highest office of the land, including the President. I am also appalled that, among other things, fellow citizens working in a campaign for president welcomed help from Russia including information that had been illegally obtained; that none of them acted to inform American law enforcement; and that the campaign chairman was actively promoting Russian interests in Ukraine.

(10,831 posts)wouldn't put my money on Romney to be the 'hero' when things got real. The heat has to be turned all the way up and the Trumpster's numbers need to plummet before the GOP grows a pair or develops a moral conscience, aka a save their jobs panic move.
I think we can get there with enough public hearings and continuous outcries on all things rotten in Denmark.
But we're not there yet.
