@realDonaldTrump
So horrible to watch the massive fire at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Perhaps flying water tankers could be used to put it out. Must act quickly!

(18,837 posts)I'm a "cable cutter," I get my TV via Netflix, Hulu commercial free w/ live TV, HBO, Amazon Prime, and the channels associated with Roku.
Sadly, MeTV isn't part of that. Maybe someday.

(901 posts)I asked is because they showed Episode #3 last night and Jonathan Winters was on there and did that joke, lol.

(29,226 posts)The river Siene is right there.
The gargoyles can fly right over to the river at the base of the cathedral and drop water on the fire.
Trumps will be tweeting this in almost no time.

That moron. That was probably the only piece of information he got out of the California fires -- water dropping air tankers. That and raking the underbrush.

(10,159 posts)CA wildfires tend to be in remote areas where the terrain makes it difficult to get firefighters up to the front lines, and they tend to cover many acres. And if they miss their target by a few hundred feet, no big deal. They don't drop tons of water on densely populated urban areas where it would likely do more harm than good.
Now, I'm not a firefighter. I do know that fire departments around the world do communicate with each other and share their practices: one of the nearby towns frequently hosts overseas firefighters at their urban search-and-rescue training facility. The Parisian firefighters almost certainly have watched and learned from other urban fires - unlike a certain orange entity who can't let a newsworthy event go by without shoehorning himself into the picture.

I also figure he's pissed off because all the news coverage is about the fire and not about his latest lame rally.
