So, Donwald J. Trump Is Flying to Minnesota Tomorrow...

I'm not sure exactly why he's coming here, but I expect him to further attack one of our House representatives, Ilhan Omar, in the remarks he makes in an outer suburb of the Twin Cities. He will also, no doubt, refer to the Twin Cities, Minneapolis and St. Paul, as sanctuary cities and threaten to send border crossers here.

OK, Donwald - we can handle migrants. We have a long, long history of welcoming migrants into our communities. Somalis, Liberians, Vietnamese, Hmong, Russians, Swedes, Mexicans, Central Americans, Norwegians...heck almost any group you can mention. We're not bothered. In fact, voters in the city of Minneapolis elected Ilhan Omar to represent them in the House of Representatives. We respect our immigrant folks here.

So, good luck with your remarks. We're not like you here, and we don't like you here. Please leave immediately. Thanks.

We're ready to help our new immigrants get their driver's licences, too. We just passed a law making them available, regardless of immigration status.

We might not be able to help you, though, if you want to deport them later. Once they're here, they'll be Twin Cities residents, and we don't follow our citizens around to keep track of them.

It's all fairly industrial around there. I have relatives who have a business about 2 blocks from Nuss - but at least one of them will probably be on the roadside waving a sign of support (or her Bible, hoping he'll sign it - she's that nuts. Fortunately, she married into the family.)

There is no mass transit that could get people to the area and no good places to park if people arrive by car. I can only think of 2 ways in & out of the area and I imagine they'll be blocked. On the other hand my sister-in-law lives just over a mile away and we did talk about walking over there to see a protest depending on the time.

I wonder what route he'll take to get there. There is some messy contruction and lane shifts on 35W between 106th St, almost to Cliff Road (and Cliff would be the logical exit to take). So I wonder if they'll got 35E or Hwy 77 to Hwy 13 and over from there.

My Territory was South of 13.

Sorry I can't be there. Looking like Cedar to Cliff and most likely Cliff west to the Dealership. Do think he could find a safer place to hide?

Easy for the Security Detail to keep everyone away. Only two ways in and out if memory works.

Well he could maybe play on one of the diggers or dump trucks if he wants to do a photo shoot.

If memory serves, both Burnsville PD and Dakota County Sherriff's Deputies are all Teamster 120 members.

Again my guess is Cliff Road, used to be a pretty easy drive till 35.

but from Cedar it's a long way on surface streets with lots of intersections and businesses along the route.

Even with the construction they might to 35W to Cliff, they can still keep him moving faster and no cross streets. Or 35W, to 13, to 5 - that also keeps him moving faster.

Here's link to a map of the area. (You'll need to zoom in to get a good look at the road options)

Since Dingle Balls will most likely land at the Navel Air portion of the Airport, they have a least a half dozen Choppers available as well as Donnies own Chopper. Ins't there a big Green Space near Cliff and 35 ? Part of the Minnesota River Wildlife area. There is a service Road that runs out the South End of the Airport then down towards Bunsville. Old Cedar Ave or something. Unless it is under water.

He wants to divide and conquer by highlighting the deplorables within Minnesota. Holding a rally there puts the stink on Minnesota as Trump country, in PR world. But there are "PR world" counterattacks, too.

Minnesotans should show up with signs. Especially INSIDE the rally. Water-down the number of deplorables inside. And outside, flood the area with sign-carrying counter-protesters. DO IT!!!
This is a TV, PR battle, take away Trumps weapon!

He thinks he's "Mr. Branding", but only because nobody challenges the "Trump brand" in politics like it is done in business. In the world of commerce, the Trump brand is now dead from association with Trump and his family of grifters named "Trump".

Destroy the rally brand, Minnesota!! You can do it for all of us. Make the rallies a show of chaos, rebrand them as amateur, medicine man carnival rants and a too-long show hosted by a D-list, washed up TV actor.

Rebrand the audiences as loons listening to a nutjob. Do it by putting sane people right next to imported Trump "extras", as they are called in the entertainment biz. Trump is trying to smear Minnesota by portraying them as Trump toadies, don't let him come there and do it.

Once you get outside of the metro area and into the rural parts of Minnesota, there is no shortage of Trumpy bigots and racists. Most of my family still lives in Minnesota and we don't talk politics because some of them are rabid supporters of this idiot-in-chief. Let us not forget the support Michele Bachmann received for many years from the collar counties in Minnesota. My opinion has always been that no matter where you live in this country, the further you get from the centers of civilization, the less civil the population becomes. Minnesota is no different, although we like to pretend that we are some island of liberalism border-to-border.

Please, though, by all means flip him off as he flies by. I'm not in line with that approach pattern, so I won't see AF1.

There will be USAF fighters in the sky tomorrow, too. I listened to them the last time AF1 flew in here. I did not save the frequency, though, dammit.

Flight rules tighten way down in those circumstances. Regular air traffic will have to mind its Ps and Qs, for sure.
