11. Here's my protocol:

* When I'm sincere with my exclamation (shock, excitement, outrage), I use only one exclamation mark, or a question mark plus exclamation mark.

* When I'm being DU-sarcastic/ironic, I use the exclamation mark and the "1" after it, the DU meme (started by whom?) when the DUer was so excited that they pressed the key too long and the "1" showed up.

* This multiple use of the "!!!!!!!!!!!" (without a "1" ) is seldom used, super heavy sincere excitement.
