A newspaper-article about Hitler from 1930. Does this remind you of somebody?

“Apparently it matters little to his followers what he says. Their chief concern is how he says it. What he says may not be true to those who know better, but to those who like it it is not without its logic.”
~~Joseph Shaplen, “Hitler, Driving Force in Germany’s Fascism,” NYT Sept. 21, 1930

The crying child. It is almost the last post.

https://www.democraticunderground.com/100212006438#post27

I was cleaning out old pictures yesterday where I came across Brownie pictures taken of the Concentration Camp by a 19 year old Soldier who helped liberate the Camps.

Things are getting so close, children held in cages, dying there, under horrendous conditions.

Trump and his enablers are monsters.

“Everything trump touches dies.”

I suspect Bill Barr is already damaged goods. He won’t get out of this clean, either.

Barr’s past misdeeds of covering up for the Iran/ Contra mess. Now they have been reminded.

Even that lovely family Barr was so proud of are now tarred by Trump. Daughter and SIL taking jobs with Trump. You would think such brilliant, well educated Attorneys would have thought twice before hitching themselves to that broken wagon with Daddy itting in the cat bird seat

I do not pretend to be in that category but my instincts would have said,” “ No way!”

I read an item about some unnamed White House insider saying Kirstjen Nielsen is so damaged from working for trump that her future is pretty much ruined. Or, as they put it, "unhireable."

Would YOU hire her for something? For anything???

My post was near the end. I tried to link my post but failed.

It is about a 19 year old Soldier who helped liberate the Concentration Camps. Going through old boxes yesterday I found the pictures of the bodies. I am going to get my computer expert to digitalize them for me.( my Son). They should be turned over to a Museum.

Read "Hitlerland", a book that compiles American foreign correspondents' reports in the 20s and 30s from Germany. https://www.amazon.com/Hitlerland-American-Eyewitnesses-Nazi-Power/dp/1439191018

And second: subscribe to http://www.newspapers.com and read the actual newspaper accounts around the U.S. contemporaneously with the events in Germany.

Book was a pretty accurate picture of what took place. The attempted assassination of Hitler, the many who died because of it. Brought so much back to me. The propaganda, the raging, hours long speeches.

What we see taking place today. Started off slowly, aided by power mad, crazy men. Himmler was a Drug Addict.

Personal stories from those who were there, my many studies over the years. Tha patterns today are the same.
