We'll have to wait and see.
One thing of note: Unless the UK waives a specific extradition rule, the US MUST identify ALL charges against Assange before he can be extradited to the US. That is a requirement of the extradition treaty between the two countries.

...that Assange was charged. It likely referred to the charge unsealed today.
