They are doing what they want to. They know it is illegal. They know that it is wrong. They know who and what they are and they simply do not care.

A letter isn't going to change anything.

Barr drops that conspiracy theory that the trump campaign was spied on. What do the dems do ? Meakly ask if he has evidence of that, does he really meant to use that word, etc.. this allowed Barr to win the narrative in the media.

The proper response would have been to chew him up on the spot and point out how disgraceful it was to make that comment with nothing to back it up, disparage the Intell community, ignore the fact that the inspector general investigated it and found no wrong doing, question the integrity of the FISA judges who renewed the surveillance warrants four times. etc...
We are so bad at controlling the narrative, its unbelievable.
