Edit: Never forget that Hannity has (or at least had) a direct hotline to Assange and he still has a direct hotline to Trump... That's how easy it is for Assange to color trump's thinking for certain policy changes...

(7,530 posts)I mean nobody high-profile like Hannity deletes all their tweets. I'm sure there's a valid explanation. Someone oughtta ask him!

(4,007 posts)Although it's debateable, as a media type or, horrors, alleged journalist, he's likely exempt from prosecution simply because he's a mouthpiece (wrapped around Trumpys tiny dickie!).
Given though if he's engaged in money laundering, sham real state sales, tax evasions, bank fraud or other serious crime, then I think he could be charged. But being essentially a loud-mouthed camp follower alone doesn't rise to criminal behavior.
Yeah, he'll get off scot-free.

(15,303 posts)I doubt he wants to prosecute assange to the point where assange decides to let it rip - tell all to the public/press.
So, looks like the solution is a pardon.
Or an unfortunate event.
Hope it is painful.

(46,743 posts)Pardons don't come into the picture until someone has worked their way through the process and found guilty. And the whole purpose of Assange is to make him sing to further implicate Trump. Trump can't make that information go away.
Keep in mind that he's Australian, too. So they might want a piece of him.
