Russian Hoax, Scam, Democrats lock themselves in a room and laugh, law enforcement needs to get involved. Lucky that I am the president because other presidents would have reacted differently..(What the hell does that even mean?).
Oh, and of course he was "spied" on.
He is a crazy conspiracy theorist and a lunatic. The man belongs in an asylum.
He is a traitor to the rule of law.
When will this nightmare end?

(10,885 posts)of the Mueller Report, and he's convinced himself that he'll get away scot-free from any allegations against him. Watching him on CNN just now, you can see that he's attempting to act ever so presidential and reasonable, but he's just not able to completely pull it off.
Perhaps my opinion is colored by his obvious lunacy, but I can't trust any persona that he tries to put forth. I will never trust a word that comes from his anus mouth.

(60,010 posts)We laff at things like the "oranges" bit, because he really is a very very dim bulb
but
there are many examples of him substituting the wrong word for a word he clearly meant, and that is a cognitive slippage symptom common to dementia
So is the bit where he got his father and his grandfather born in Germany mixed up.
all those times he starts talking about one thing and then suddenly, in mid-sentence, starts talking about something else, is a symptom called tangential thinking.
We laffed at the 38 miles of wall with 36 doors that were not doors, but in that muddle of words was an idea he simply could not coherently state.
I've noticed in his speeches he starts sounding confused and suddenly will veer back to a familiar topic, which makes sense in dementia, he is looking for familiar, thus safe ground.
Problem is the guy acts like a buffoon, looks like one, has several pre-existing psychiatric disorders, and it is hard to see thru to identify the dementia symptoms, esp. when his power seeking handlers are trying to mask/minimize the clues.

(40,212 posts)is deeply disturbing. You are right, there is a group of people surrounding him that are actively covering up his rapidly declining mental condition. They are in it for their own power with little regard for the well being of the nation.
It is not suppose to be this way.

(60,010 posts)I was not tuned into his tenure as much, but I do know that Nancy was very instrumental in standing between him and others, some say she was very involved in the day to day Pres. duries.
in any event, he eventually made half an apology for Iran/contra, after claiming he had no knowledge of it, which we now know was perhaps true at the time.
trump is, by contrast, widely known for taking micro-management to a whole new level, for decades, so he really cannot hide behind the excuse he did not know the things he is now lying about.
but...he is also not bright and most of the people handling him take advantage of his exceedingly shallow interest in anything but sound bites and one sentence ideas.
