1. They tell blatant lies. Did you ever wonder why Trump tells dumb lies? That's the goal, to make you wonder, to confuse you. It's not the quality of the lie it's the quantity that counts.
2. They deny they ever said something, even though you have proof.
3. They use what is near and dear to you as ammunition.
4.They wear you down over time.
5.There actions do not match their words.
6. Positive reinforcement to confuse you. They praise you after insulting you. Trump does this all the time.
7. They know confusion weakens people.
8. They project. They accuse you of what they are doing. They make you defend yourself. Trump does this all the time.
9.They try to align people against you.
10. They tell you and others that you are crazy.
11. They tell you everyone else is a liar.
This describes Trump and what he is doing perfectly. Trump is not crazy. He is evil and he is using one of the most evil playbooks ever invented by man.

(10,500 posts)They regularly swift boat Democrats, and then turn around and say that people like Donald Trump and Brett Kavanaugh were swift boated, without offering a shred of evidence, or even in spite of the evidence.

(47,506 posts)They unwittingly admit to their own crimes and misdemeanors by accusing their opponents of them. Reminds me of a small child who blurts out his transgressions by loudly proclaiming, "Suzy ate the cookies" even though no one accused him of doing anything.
It is a clever little devious trick that republicans learned a long time ago, probably during the Lee Atwater era and it worked over and over again. The problem is they over used it and now they are ridiculously obvious. Often we don't have to seek out what their weaknesses are, we just have to let THEM tell us!

I must point out that in point #5 you wrote "there" when you meant to say "their."
