Mulvaney says Democrats will never get Trump's tax returns

We will see mickey

Acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said Sunday that Democrats will "never" see President Trump's tax returns.

"Nor should they. That’s an issue that was already litigated during the election. Voters knew the president could have given his tax returns, they knew that he didn’t, and they elected him anyway," Mulvaney said during an appearance on "Fox News Sunday."

He added that Democrats "know they're not going to" get the tax returns.

"They just want attention on the issue because they don’t want to talk to us about policy," he said.

I wish reporters and interviewers with retort with that response whenever this excuse is brought up. Just to correct the record.

A majority of Americans decided they wanted someone other than Trump, and who they chose could not have been more different from Trump.

The scope and pursuit of evidence of an authorized investigation is not guided or "settled" by any prior election result. A nice diversionary effort by Mulvaney, but his attempt at a thinly-veiled false equivalency falls flat on its face. Oversight as mandated in the Constitution can and will continue.

Could have given them. Thanks, dude.

And does he know what “litigated” means? God that fool can pick some winners.

My guess is if we did see his returns we'd probably find out Trump isn't as worth as much as what he claims he is. I wouldn't doubt a lot of these properties that has his name on them are just that, owned by someone else, but they just have Trump's name on them and he's allowed to use them whenever he pleases. He's got his base fooled into thinking he can make the country as successful as his businesses. Which I believe, is the complete opposite, he hasn't been successful.
