Interesting story. A group of young Jewish adults frolic at Finzi Continis' rich estate almost oblivious to the antisemitism of creeping facism in pre WWII Italy. In the end, the Nazis capture most of them and prepare to ship them off to the concentration camps.

After Charlottesville I thought they would wake up...but nothing. Then the slaughter in the Temple...nothing. Their own Temple was burned and painted with swastikas...nothing. No correlation between any of these things and an organized group that has been protected by the Republican party and endorsed by Trump.
