She had to spend convention time trying to persuade voters that although she was a knowledgeable politician she was also kind and warm and "feminine" in the way some voters require.

No one felt that Trump had to prove that he was a good parent or grandparent. (Good thing, because I don't think he is.)

She was a warm, genuine, smart, QUALIFIED candidate and it makes my blood boil that she had to waste any valuable time proving that.

They have an apartment in town besides the house out in Chappaqua, so that makes it easy to get out when they want to.

My brother-in-law works as a techie on Broadway shows, so I hear about this happening every now and then. Both the audiences and the casts love it when they show up!
