Of Course It Was Forged. It just eats at him that PBO received one.As far as I know, this is the first example of someone nominating someone by stealing another person's identity', says committee secretary"
The committee tasked with picking winners of the Nobel Peace Prize says two nominations it received for Donald Trump to be handed the honour were both forged.
Olav Njolstad, secretary of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, told the NTB news agency someone using a stolen identity had put the US President forward for the award two years in a row.
Mr Njolstad said it appeared the same person had been responsible for forging both nominations and added Norwegian police had been informed.

The Norwegian committee has filed a report with police over its concerns.
Mr Trump was reportedly nominated for his "ideology of peace by force" by an anonymous American.
The director of the Nobel Institute said there were concerns that Mr Trump's nomination may have been falsified.
"I can say that we have good reason to believe that [the nomination of Mr Trump] is a fake," Nobel Institute Director Olav Njølstad told Norwegian broadcaster NRK.

Then on Sunday, the Asahi Shimbun confirmed that Abe had indeed submitted the nomination only not of his own accord. The prime minister did the deed because the White House had informally asked Japan to do so meaning President Trumps nomination for a Nobel Peace Prize was apparently Trump or the White Houses idea, and one they successfully convinced a foreign government to go along with. Per the report:
Acceding to a request from Washington, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe nominated U.S. President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize around autumn for engaging with North Korea, Japanese government sources said Feb. 16. According to the sources, the U.S. government informally asked Tokyo to nominate Trump after he met with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore in June, the first-ever summit between the two countries.

(6,133 posts)He went after Obama with the birth thing just to be on the news. Obama made him a fool at a White House dinner.
He now wants to erase what Obama did and get credit for, and receive any award that Obama got.
Trump, his whole fucking life, was about getting payback and being a fool with money. Now we are all paying the Trump family's price.
Watch out, Hello, when we receive the bill.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is not saying whether or not he nominated Donald Trump for this years Nobel Peace Prize, but the question may be moot: the U.S. president has been put forward by others for the prestigious award.
During a White House news conference on Friday, Trump said the Japanese premier had given him the most beautiful copy of a five-page nomination letter to the Norwegian Nobel Committee.
Since then Abe has declined to say whether he had done so. Regardless, Trump has already been nominated by two Norwegian lawmakers.
We have nominated him of course for the positive developments on the Korean Peninsula, Per-Willy Amundsen, who was Justice Minister in Prime Minister Erna Solbergs cabinet in 2016-2018, told Reuters.
It has been a very difficult situation and the tensions have since lowered and a lot of it is due to Trumps unconventional diplomatic style, he added.
Amundsen, who is a member of the rightwing Progress Party, wrote a letter to the award committee together with his parliamentary colleague Christian Tybring-Gjedde, he said.

I agree it's low rent to pressure another head of state to nominate, but given the slob doing it, I'm not surprised.
But, if Japan says they did it, who forged it?
