I've got a feeling that Wikileaks has turned into a money-making scam.

Assange said in an interview in 2010 or so that Wikileaks has trouble with handling donations, because the mainstream-banks don't want to do business with them.

For a while already there has been circumstantial evidence that Wikileaks is an organization in trouble: Doing business with russian cybercriminals like Peter Chayanov, somehow not realizing that Russia's secret intelligence has duped them into doing their dirty work...

Then there is this MASSIVE lawsuit of the DNC against Wikileaks, about how Wikileaks got the emails. I bet, that's not cheap.

Ever since Wikileaks helped Trump, their fanbase has dried up. You can see this on Twitter: There are no more moderate Wikileaks-fans. The tweets in support of Wikileaks are either from left-wing hardcore-fans or from mentally imbalanced Alt-Right conspiracy-theorists.
Where have all the normal and sensible people gone?
They left. Because of Trump. And they stopped donating.

Wikileaks put out a $1 million fundraising-goal to help publish the Mueller-report. How exactly would that money help make that happen? They never said.

And just these days there were rumors that Ecuador wants to evict Assange, which Ecuador has denied. I see a good chance that the rumor was just one more fundraising-tool.
