The Democratic base has been starving for a "real" fighter. They don't want to go high when they go low. They want to punch the fuckers back in their faces, and AOC does this with style and grace.
So, for all of the other Dems who bristle at her moxy, take some notes and learn something. You don't win by "having a beer with Mitch". You win by standing up to them.

(9,500 posts)but her comebacks against the Republicans that are criticizing her because she was a bartender are golden.
And Faux News call us Democrats elitists? The cons are all talk about how they value work, until it comes to actually valuing the worker (both in terms of salary and respect).

It's refreshing to watch. And she does it time and again. It's a millennial trait. My son pointed it out to me a couple years ago. Republicans aren't able to troll millennials because they grew up dealing with trolls online.

(30,765 posts)I can't stand her. She should not be mentioned in the same breath as Nancy and Maxine until she actually accomplishes something.

(26,655 posts)I would say winning a primary and a seat in Congress is accomplishing something do you think freshman members should just sit down and shut up?
Really, what is your problem?

(30,765 posts)and shutting up?
Quit putting words in my mouth.
She won an election with very low turnout in a overwhelmingly Democratic district. Now let's see her do some work.

(6,602 posts)I love how AOC stands up for Democratic values, but that doesn't need to involve "owning" anyone or anything.
It should 100% have to do with upholing our Constitution and the rule of law, period.
