The Red Don considers Cohen a dirty rat and would love to see Cohen in prison so I doubt he will ever pardon him since so far none of Cohen's information including about Trump Tower Moscow has hurt Don criminally and he probably thinks he can get Barr to force SDNY which is still under DOJ to lay off of Trump.

I don't think he's asking for a pardon from Trump, since the FBI already had this.

If he's holding anything back - and I'm not saying he is because I don't know - but if he is, it's because he's still afraid of the NYS prosecutors. The state laws he has broken for Trump and for himself are a whole different can of worms, not related to the campaign irregularities. Trump has no pardon for that and everyone knows it.

allowing the feds (or possibly state law enforcement) to seize the hard drive based on his own acknowledgement that it contains evidence of possible criminal activity.

Not sure why he thinks the hard drive gives him leverage.
