Donald Trump and His Multiple Lines in the Sand

After threatening to close the entire Texas-Mexico border, Donald Trump stated that he would not close the border now, but would close it in a year and impose a 25% tariff on cars entering the U.S. from Mexico if the Mexican government did not reduce levels of illegal immigration. I might be wrong, but I think this is not the first time Trump has moved his line in the sand. Trump seems to have drawn lines in the sand concerning many issues only to move the lines back multiple times. As far as I know, President Obama only drew a line in the sand only to redraw it later one time. The time I am talking about is President Obama's handling of the Syrian Civil War. When President Obama drew a line in the sand during that conflict only to have the Syrian leadership cross the line without a response from President Obama Republican lost their minds. Now, I realize that the reason Republicans are not losing their minds over the many redrawn lines in the sand is that Trump is a Republican, but it still amazes me that Republicans do not seem to have a problems with Donald Trump drawing lines in the sand only to redraw them farther back later.
