Captain Marvel just broke $1,000,000,000 in worldwide box office

And yes, this is a GD topic and not The Lounge.

This is a huge milestone, and has shown all the straight white men saying no one wants to watch female superheroes are as wrong as when they said no one wanted to see black superheros (Black Panther has topped $2,000,000,000).

And, to have such a strong -- and outspoken -- progressive and feminist like Brie Larson play Carol Danvers is even better.

Now hoping Captain Marvel 2 mirrors her mentorship of Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel from the comics.

Boo hoo to all the MRA trolls losing their minds about this.

You can hear the sniveling of the MRA trolls and their impotent MGTOW brethren, as well as the piercing high-pitched whine of the incels. They tried their best to torpedo Captain Marvel before it was even released, and the movie clears a billion.

To the few little dens they have been quarantined into. They keep saying the theaters are all empty, and Disney is just buying the seats. I saw it for a third time Sunday, at 945 am on a Sunday, and the theater was at least half full.

I liked Rogue One, too, even though you knew it had to end with everyone getting killed, but getting the plans for the death star smuggled out anyway.

But, I had no idea it would be so fantastic! And, neither did Disney. They never thought it would break a billion.

Wonder Woman was also successful... my complaint would be that this Captain Marvel is not mine - but Shazam! has the original and they're both entertaining - so we all win! Let's see more diversity!

Marvelman aka Miracleman would be a good movie! Another strange comic book "thing" is how the Marvelman Family was announced in writing, in the comic books, as direct "cousins" to the Marvel Family and with the same powers - yet Marvel owns Miracleman and not DC... and DC bought Captain Marvel and can't use the name...

But it still pushes me off that the REAL Captain Marvel has to be called Shazam now because of this character.

But I love marvel and I think its hilarious how others twist her words around. This is coming from a white Male too. I think its hilarious to see all the "alphas" lose their shit
