no vetting, nothing. any right-wing republican apparatchik will do.

when we regain control of the senate, we'll have the same power, but no vacancies left to fill.

for district judges. So if a state has at least one Dem senator, he can veto any district judge from his state that Trump nominates and the seat will remain open.

But they will certainly fill every district judge position in the states with two Republican Senators.

... while claiming the filibuster is safe on non-reconciliation bills. He knows it does him no good now with a Democratic House so why nuke the filibuster for nothing?

Clever.

If I stood on the Senate floor and saw that lipless maggot's smirk when I brought up Merrick Garland, I wouldn't stop until McConnell was a bloody smear in the carpet.

I must admit...I never used to have those kinds of thoughts before 2016. Now I feel like I'm perpetually angry.

I will fucking cheer the day that smug bastard croaks.
I will go on a lengthy road trip to wherever he is buried.
I will drink a lot of water before I arrive.

I think every nomination should go directly to the floor for a straight up vote.

Yet he refused to go nuclear for Trump's wall.

Repubs are desperate to not take full credit for funding the wall.

is that when we get the gov't back, rebuilding the administrative state will go faster. Not much we can do about all the rabid RW judges, though, beyond holding the line.
