Ted Cruz tries his best to mock Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez -- and hilariously fails

On Monday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted a picture of an overpriced croissant at New York’s La Guardia airport, Yahoo News reported.

She used the expensive pastry to make a point that even as prices soar on a variety of goods, raising the minimum wage remains mired in controversy.

“Croissants at LaGuardia are going for SEVEN DOLLARS A PIECE,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. “Yet some people think getting a whole hour of personal, dedicated human labor for $15 is too expensive?”

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) pounced on her tweet, trying to make her appear out of touch and spoiled — entirely missing her point about the need for a living wage.
