"Jesus would have pulled the switch!" . . . Please come CAPTION Pastor Robert Jeffress!!!

Pastor Robert Jeffress is saying: "They say that the death penalty kills innocent people, but they forget Jesus Himself was innocent and was a victim of the death penalty. . . . In fact, you might say the killing of innocent people is essential to the very notion of the death penalty. . . . And then think of the money we could save without hearing appeals for years!"

Above CAPTION based on a Media Matters clip of this hypocrite:

Everyone takes what they want from religion, pushes it into a shape they find pleasing and leaves the rest. Religion being what it is, there's always something in there for everyone.

Ugly demented people use it to wrap some pretty paper around their natural tendencies towards, hate, control, bigotry, etc.
Kind people use it as network/framework to nurture their tendencies and direct charity.

The religion doesn't mean anything really, in that the ugly hateful people would still be ugly, and the kind people would still be kind.

People spend years behind bars for crimes they didn’t commit. Saw a guy yesterday on CBS Sunday Morning who spent the majority of his adult life incarcerated for a murder he did not do. The state hasn’t had the decency to even pay the guy for what he lost. Just turned him loose and said go away. Money owed to him still being fought in court. His story has a happy ending, by the way. Check it out if you haven’t.

So what do we do about people wrongfully executed! Say Oops and move on? What a cold hearted asshat. I just hate these smug, self righteous jackasses. How does a guy like that stand in the pulpit and claim to be spreading gospel of Christ?? Boggles my tiny mind.

this spud didn't say those words. But we try to channel our subjects' shortcomings, stupidity, cupidity, hypocrisy, misanthropy, etc. to satirize them.

A Sickening Moment In Dallas History
By KRYSTINA MARTINEZ & RICK HOLTER • APR 10, 2015
In 1908, a ceremonial arch lit up downtown Dallas at the corner of Main and Akard streets. It was built by the Elks Club, with a gaudy sign that proclaimed “Welcome Visitors” ... By 1910, it became a different kind of symbol when a mob hung the body of a black man named Allen Brooks from the arch ... “The arch is dismantled by the summer of 1911 and they rebuild it at Fair Park. They use it for a couple of years at the State Fair <of Texas> as a sort of pavilion. It’s not really what you do with a symbol of intense shame – just move it to the fairgrounds. And then it just passes out of the record” ...
