Why is there a Kardashian channel?

It's bad enough that we have a Republican "news" channel.

But where I live, there's a channel that is dedicated to the Kardashians 24/7. It wasn't that long ago that I didn't even know what a Kardashian was. For all I knew, it could have been some kind of creature found on Easter Island.

Now that I know what a Kardashian is, I have no idea why they have their own TV channel. And the very fact that they do, validates the statement made by H.L. Mencken, a famous journalist from the 1930s: "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people."

The existence of a TV channel dedicated to the Kardashians, makes it just a bit clearer to me how Donald Trump got to be pResident. It seems that ignorance is more widespread than anyone could have possibly imagined.

I presume people do and that the channel is a money-making endeavor. Think how limited the lives of the viewers must be.

9. I have questions about the Kardashians

I’m in my 40s and just don’t understand why the family became so popular.

I can see how the Kardashian and Jenner kids can build on their mysterious fame by cultivating social media followings, marrying unhinged musicians and selling clothes and makeup.

But “why them” leaves me scratching my head.
