Another Reason to Want the Whole Mueller Report: It Describes Russia's 2016 Election Interference

A bit lost in all the coverage of Mueller, obstruction, and collusion is this: the "Mueller Report" contains a description of how Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election.

President Trump has repeatedly ignored the findings of his own intelligence agencies and suggested that he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin when Putin claims that no interference ever happened.

But according to Attorney General William Barr, the Mueller report makes clear—once again—that Russia did interfere in the 2016 US presidential election. (And, as other government reports have made clear, that interference was intended to help Trump.)

So the Mueller Report—particularly if it runs to thousands of pages, as some are speculating—could provide something far beyond the facts related to Mueller's collusion and obstruction investigations.

It could provide, for the first time, a clear narrative description of how Russian operatives used American social media companies against American democracy in 2016, and how Russia also weaponized the fruits of its hacking operations against the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic Party.

1. and driving home tonite tuned into PBS WUNC

and caught a program (no idea of the name) hosted by a woman that had 2 people on to talk about the media and Mueller report... man and woman, man's name Aziz, or Asiz or something
the female was talking about how the media was having to 'talk back' the initial reports of no collusion, then Aziz countered with Mueller report stating there was 'no interference from Russia'
and I reached down and turned it off

2. Great point that's been missed, in fact the investigation started under those auspices ...

Trump's behavior, and his campaign's behavior, led that focus to shift, but mainly what it was ABOUT was probing the interference.

Anybody think Trump wants THAT part of it getting a lot of airplay, either?

The fact that this is the case is just more reason for him to fight against it's release.

3. Like that matters. Every frickin news person should ask, "Ok so it seems Barr is saying

you are innocent with regard to colluding with Russia to bolster your campaign."

"if not true, and they didn't help you, what HAVE YOU DONE to protect our country from their interference next time?"


BUT, TRUMP IS ACTING LIKE A DICTATOR - NO WAY TO ASK HIM QUESTIONS - ASIDE FROM HIS "HELICOPTER PRESSERS" WHICH 1) ALLOW HIM TO OBFUSCATE BECAUSE NO ONE CAN HEAR THE QUESTIONS, AND 2) MAKE HIM LOOK TERRIBLY BUSY - ALTHOUGH HIS HELI ONLY TAKING HIM TO ANDREWS TO FLY TO MARA LAGO TO GOLF AND VEGETATE.
