Trump ramps up attacks on the media following Mueller report summary

President Trump on Tuesday ratcheted up his attacks on the media following the conclusion of a two-year investigation by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III that did not establish coordination between Trump and Russia on election interference.

“The Mainstream Media is under fire and being scorned all over the World as being corrupt and FAKE,” Trump asserted in a morning tweet. “For two years they pushed the Russian Collusion Delusion when they always knew there was No Collusion. They truly are the Enemy of the People and the Real Opposition Party!”

Trump cited no evidence to back up his unfounded assertion that media organizations knew he had not coordinated with Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign.

A summary of Mueller’s report released Sunday by Attorney General William P. Barr also said that Mueller did not offer a conclusion on whether Trump sought to obstruct justice during the investigation.

1. He obviously feels quite emboldened now

He will very likely (and very quickly) overplay his hand. I've heard that Republicans are also trying to get Adam Schiff removed from House Intel Committee. Nobody but (presumably) the USAG office has even seen the report and Barr's own summary indicates that there *was* evidence of wrongdoing and that the report doesn't totally exonerate him. Barr's spin seems to be having its desired effect at the moment, however.
