Did Trump and Barr just pull one of the greatest scams of all time on our press and media?

First of all, there was a rush to get Barr's "conclusions" about Mueller's Report.

The cable news networks blared the story that "There was no collusion!" Newspapers, like the NYTimes had full-page banners across the top of their pages, "NO COLLUSION!". The Trump people and their supporters demanded "apologies" from Democrats that had charged collusion.

A couple of days later, it does look like they may have been a little premature with their glorification of Herr Leader? The contradictions within Barr's letter and evidence given did not match up with the facts.

We do not expect them to make a correction, but maybe they should?

1. Maybe not,

Barr and Mueller are very , very close friends, so was he asked by Mueller to get this role for him to use to really keep going after trump with , and with many sealed indictments they can use to go after him and his family with? Could it be Barr was a plant , and now knowing, after Mueller's report ,trump is too dangerous to protect when he's such a national security risk , and a career criminal?

2. Only time will tell

I think if the next Presidential election is allowed to be influenced by foreign governments in any way close to the last Presidential election, they will have gotten away with it.

This will go to Congress and then to the Courts.
By the time it's all decided it will be November 2020.
I plan to just chill until then.

4. The KGOP are experts at exploiting the weaknesses of our easily-distracted, headline-obsessed media

They know that if they can manipulate headlines, they win the news cycle because the "analysis" that follows will mostly consist of chatter of about public perception and political/tactical implications of those headlines rather than fact-checking and substance.

Or, put another way, "a lie can travel halfway around the world before the truth can get its pants on". Never has that statement been more true than in the era of 24-hour cable news and social media. The KGOP knows this well and we're witnessing an epic example of it right now.
