One thing the Mueller Report shows for sure (that Trump won't mention).

If there is one thing for certain that the Mueller Report apparently shows, it's that it was not a Witch Hunt. Ever.

It was a legal, legitimate investigation started by the country's intel agencies (not the Democratic Party) BEFORE the 2016 election, to investigate Russia's possible interference in our democracy and election system. It was transferred to the Special Counsel, after Trump fired Comey, the FBI Director, who was leading the investigation.

The Special Counsel's investigation included the task of investigating Trump's Obstruction of Justice, in the beginning only because of the Comey firing (later to include other actions).

The Special Counsel's investigation expanded to include a focus on the Trump campaign team, when investigators discovered that there had been numerous secret communications and some meetings between the Trump campaign team key members and Russians involved being investigated for interfering in our democracy.

The investigation at the FBI was headed by Comey, a Republican. The Special Counsel was Mueller, a Republican. The Special Counsel's investigation was overseen by Deputy AG, Rosenstein, a Republican.

The result is (per Barr, the Trump-named AG) that the Mueller investigation did not recommend any further indictments, and seems not to have reached a conclusion about obstruction of justice by Trump.

So our system worked, and our country investigated the serious issue of a hostile foreign power interfering in our democracy and our election system. It was never a Witch Hunt, as the result shows. Had it been a Witch Hunt, there was plenty of evidence to support recommendations of more indictments.

Of course it could. But from Trumpers' point of view, that would be proof it was a Witch Hunt. Honeycombe8 Mar 2019 #5

I left him out because he recused himself, but in the beginning he WAS in charge of the investigation. I should have included him.

Was having the insight to 'farm this out', as it were, to prevent an outright cover-up of how Russia cheated us out of our rightful president, despite Republicans complicity even then in the aforementioned cover-up.

Proof it's not is that no Witch was indicted. There was evidence that could have used to support it...a Witch Hunter finds evidence, if he finds Witches.
