It's just too convenient of timing, since he kind of seemed like he knew what he was doing there.

(82,849 posts)Notice how he keeps saying he's going to leave, then hangs around to insult people some more. It looks like he was hoping someone would assault him. I'm guessing he's a little behind on his legal bills from the Sandy Hook families' lawsuit. He needs to get some cash, quick.

I can tell you this. The Jones lawyer in the Connecticut cases is not faring well.
Honey, it takes some real special abilities to be more unethical than Alex Jones.
And, if you listen to podcasts, This American Life is about Alex Jones this week and Marks client, Lenny Pozner is interviewed. The show is called Beware the Jabberwock. It is well worth your time, as is anything This American Life does.
This incident happened just after Mark deposed Jones

Richman was one of the parents who sued Alex Jones in Connecticut. For those of you have asked, he is not one of my sons clients.
Jones offered condolences. Ya know, through his lawyer.
Last Saturday night Jones was kicked out of Lucys Chicken in Austin after he tried to start a fight there and got ridiculed by the customers. This was a day or two after his deposition in Austin. This is the video that was captured.

Like I told you, most of this stuff I cant even remember, Jones says about the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting at one point in a video deposition released to HuffPost.
The deposition, which was released publicly on Friday, shows Jones in the hot seat as he attempts to explain his reasoning for spending years falsely claiming that the school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut ― which left 20 children and six adults dead ― was a hoax. He is being sued by nine family members of loved ones who died in the shooting, including Scarlett Lewis, who is suing Jones for intentional infliction of emotional distress. Lewis is represented by Mark Bankston of the Texas law firm Farrar & Ball. HuffPost has also included the full transcript.

Given practical support and visibility by Mr. Jones, Mr. Halbig hounded families of the victims and other residents of Newtown, and promoted a baseless tale that Avielle Richman, a first grader killed at Sandy Hook, was still alive.
The deposition and its details about Mr. Joness operation and his interactions with Mr. Halbig was made public on Friday, days after Avielle Richmans father, Jeremy Richman, killed himself in Newtowns Edmond Town Hall, where Avielle Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to brain science that the family established in their daughters name, had an office.....
The heightened profile Mr. Halbig gained through Mr. Jones and his skepticism about mass shootings drew him into the orbit of the National Rifle Association, as well. On Feb. 15, 2018, the day after 17 people died in a mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., Mark Richardson, a program officer for the N.R.A., emailed Mr. Halbig to stir doubts about the facts of the shooting, according to a document in the Texas lawsuit that was first reported by HuffPost.
Referring to Sandy Hook, Mr. Richardson wrote to Mr. Halbig that there is so much more to this story, wrongly speculating in the message that the Parkland shooter was not alone.
A HERETIC I AM
(24,380 posts)Seriously? How is it possible that one can conduct themselves in such an obnoxious way constantly and always? To see a monster under every bed and a ghost in every closet? To have such utter contempt for actual reality?
Alex is pissed because he sees a world no one else except him and his idiotic fans can see, and just doesn't understand why everyone else isn't agreeing with him all the time.
Don't forget, the President of the United States actually thinks Mr. Jones is a rational actor.
I read "None Dare Call It Conspiracy" too (the book he says set him on this path he is on) and when I finished it I thought...
"Well, this author is a fucking dipshit, that's for sure"
Alex Jones needs to be kept in a small room with padded walls and fed a liquid diet or at the very least, given forks with corks on them.

(13,590 posts)conspiracy stuff. Now he just seems deluded and dangerous.
And remember in 2006 he was an actor in A Scanner Darkly. Animated etc. but still his voice. He's a showman.
I saw him live once in Dallas at an old movie theater where he was going on and on about the conspiracy of 9/11. Outside the theater the BBC had a crew interviewing attendees. Jim Marrs was there walking around. At one point Jones walked through the mass of tables selling UFO and conspiracy books and shouldered his way with a sweating face which was probably more than you would think anyone would have in the cool fall Texas weather.
It was a regular conspiracy cavalcade and a very surreal night.
