a) The truth was neither important, nor an objective.
b) They needed to get control of the narrative FIRST.
How does that saying go? A lie can run around the globe a dozen times while the truth is still putting on it's shoes?

(14,334 posts)that well likely get a redacted version if the report is released before the outstanding cases are resolved. They dont want to prejudice open cases.
I still expect what we can see of the report to be damning, but we will likely get the rest piecemeal and spread out over months or years, with redacted portions unredacted on a case-by-case basis.
