1. the "rule of law" isn't a real thing, it's just something we tell the poors of the world about to keep them in line. Power--the ability to make the rules and enforce them; the capacity to compel others to do your bidding by force of arms if need be...that's all that really matters.
2. We have to just accept how things are and move on for the good of the country...the "good of the country" in this context meaning the continued protection of the current privileged classes, and the continued and ongoing transfer of all wealth to those same privileged groups. The protection of capital, basically. And the turmoil of trying to remove a president from office, despite the questionable circumstances surrounding his ascent to office, and the clear unfitness for duty that the man constantly demonstrates, would be risky for what's really important in America, the concentrated wealth of the oligarchs.
