Question about FBI Investigation into Trump

I’ve been wondering about the FBI investigation into Trump as well as the counterintelligence’s investigation which were started by McCabe.

Does anyone know if the Special Counsel appointment meant the end to any FBI investigation into Trump and Russia, or could there still be an ongoing and independent probe conducted by the FBI?

After checking his Twitter account, there’s apparently still an on going FBI investigation if he’s correct. We just never heard about is since Mueller came on board.

in his sentencing memo Flynn provided "substantial" help with three major investigations, which were listed in this order:
National Security - - - - -
Special Counsel investigation
_____________ the BLACK BOX
Two of those investigations are still ongoing.
