Do you go there, and if so how often in comparison to the DU? Do you post at Daily Kos?

(9,275 posts)Lots of great reading and comments, but I'm a bit afraid to join them as they seem kind of cliquish and unkind to newbies sometimes.

(2,963 posts)I take a run through my selected bookmarks on my phone many times a day. Kos is one of them. I do have a hard time with the formatting on Kos & Crooks & Liars.

Fuck that shit.
On DU I can post great news, awesome diaries, recipes, or Tapir penis videos, and nobody complains.
DU is the cat's tits!

(20,600 posts)I selected other because there wasn't a simple "no". Don't go there and never had an account. DU is the only political oriented message board I frequent. I do participate in other forums, but they are hobby related - such as games.

(27,630 posts)They discuss politics as well, with a liberal/progressive leaning. Is there a reason you avoid them, or is it just non-interest?
quinnox
(20,600 posts)I think it sucks how the board is laid out. In contrast, DU's format is superb and by far the best I have seen in terms of readability and being a clean and nice looking layout. Also, as someone else said, they seem awful cliquey there at Daily Kos, and not very welcoming or friendly, at least that is the impression I got when I looked at it a few times in the past.
DU satisfies my political forum needs excellently, hell, I'm going to donate something next week, I'm starting to feel guilty already going on and on about how great DU is and I know they changed it recently to make it real affordable for a star now.
Quantess
(27,630 posts)Yes, DU is so readable, and easy to navigate. Daily Kos is not quite as reader-friendly, in my opinion.
Do they seem awful cliquey there and not very welcoming? Well, that is nothing the DU doesn't have! LOL... But at least we have the official Help & Welcome Forum. And we have smilies to greet newbies.

(3,069 posts)I know about Kos, but I don't lurk there or participate at all. It isn't that there aren't good posts/people, but it is just too difficult to work with for me.

(21,769 posts)I've gone there from here to read linked posts... Some I've agreed with and some I've not but... I hate the design so I never stay except to read the occasional link.
