Speaking at dinner at President Donald Trumps Florida Mar-a-Lago resort on Friday night, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) once again called for an investigation of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to the delight of the Trump supporters attending a fundraiser.
According to a report from CNN, President Trump was looking on as Graham spoke after telling a separate crowd, If Lindseys speaking, I want to come down here for two reasons. No. 1: hes a great speaker. And No. 2, I know if Im here, hes not going to say anything bad about me.
Before a crowd that was celebrating the news that there would be no additional indictments for now Graham made the call for going after Clinton again, which led the crowd to start chanting lock her up.
CNNs Kevin Liptak reported, A lock her up chant broke out at Mar-a-Lago tonight during Sen. Grahams speech as he called for an investigation into Clinton and the origins of the dossier. Trump watched on from a table in the ballroom.

(6,535 posts)"Welp, the investigation is done, no more indictments coming there...the Republicans have thoroughly investigated themselves and found no wrongdoing; so now it's time to move on and finally lock up the enemies of the people, the Clintons and Obamas, just as the people of this great nation demand..."
Also won't be surprised if our wonderful GOP senate just shrugs and carries on protecting their boy while, newly emboldened by his "exoneration," he ramps up his executive overreach and starts rounding up his political opponents, etc. Seriously...would not be surprised. And 1/3 of the nation would cheer. That is seriously fucked up.

...the fact that Trump's been allowed to go as far as he has makes a mockery of our democracy, and our system of justice which was already strained.
I think we're seeing that push right now, right at the inflection point of the first major effort to confront Trump and hold him accountable, with an ominous array of right-wing characters in government lining up to make America pay for daring to question their criminal and anti-democratic behavior.
We're going to find out this week who has our backs.

(277 posts)But......but.....but....instead of dining in the ballroom with his lemmings, shouldn't he be on the southern border supervising his NATIONAL EMERGENCY keeping our country safe? Never know when a caravan of women and children are going to arrive.

(86,009 posts)...there's the Dem Congress just gearing up.
Remember the Watergate timeline. The presidency broke after testimony before Congress by Dean.
Then there's the election.
